How did we pick these?
We started from the search results, which are a mess, and worked backwards. Typing "urgent care in Paris, TX" into an aggregator returns twenty-seven listings. Paris has one dedicated urgent care.
The rest of that list is padding. CareNow, Integrity Urgent Care and CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Urgent Care all appear in Paris results and none of them has a clinic in Paris; the nearest Integrity locations are Greenville and Quinlan, and the nearest CHRISTUS walk-in is in Sulphur Springs. Black Oak Clinic ranks for Paris walk-in searches and is in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. HealthCARE Express is the one that will catch you out, because it still ranks near the top and its Paris page is live: the clinic at 5220 SE Loop 286 has closed and that page now sells telehealth visits, which is not much use for a laceration.
So we widened the definition honestly rather than padding the list. Everything here is a place in Paris where a person who feels bad today can be seen today, sorted by how well it fits an urgent care need. The five walk-in and same-day clinics come first because that is what people mean by urgent care and because they cost a fraction of the alternative. The three emergency rooms come next, clearly labeled, because after 8 p.m. they are the only doors that open. The health district is last because it is preventive care with a very long weekday window.
Two real Paris clinics were left off. TruCare Health and Wound Care is a genuine primary care and wound clinic, but it schedules appointments and does not advertise walk-ins. Paris Care Clinic, the adult sister clinic to the Pediatric Clinic of Paris, requires an appointment for the same reason. Both are worth knowing about, neither is urgent care. There are no partners, sponsors or paid placements on this list.
What should you know before you go?
The whole thing turns on the clock. Four of the five clinics close at 5 p.m. and none of them opens on a Saturday except the pediatric clinic, for two hours.
| Where | Type | Open | Best for |
| Salas Minor Emergency Center | Urgent care | 7 days, to 8 p.m. weekdays | Almost everything |
| Hometown Clinic | Walk-in clinic | Mon to Thu, Fri half day | Stitches, IV fluids, physicals |
| Family Medical Clinic | Family practice | Mon to Thu, Fri half day | Same day sick visits |
| Pediatric Clinic of Paris | Pediatric, sliding scale | Weekdays plus Sat morning | Sick children, no insurance |
| Kids Clinic of Paris | Pediatric | Weekdays | Established child patients |
| Paris Regional Health ER | Freestanding ER | 24 hours | After hours on Medicare or Medicaid |
| Quality Care ER | Freestanding ER | 24 hours | Fast overnight care, commercial plans |
| Paris Regional Medical Center | Hospital ER | 24 hours | Chest pain, stroke, trauma |
| Health District | Public health | Mon to Thu, closed Fri | Immunizations, low cost testing |
The second thing to sort out is the bill. A freestanding emergency room charges a facility fee that a clinic does not, and independent ones often sit outside Medicare and Medicaid entirely. That is exactly why the Paris Regional Health Emergency Center matters more than its ranking suggests: since it joined the hospital in June 2024 it takes what the hospital takes. If you are on Medicaid at 2 a.m., that is the practical difference between a copay and a fight.
Hours move, so we have described patterns rather than promising specific minutes where sources disagree. Call the number on the card before you drive.
What should you do next?
If it is a weekday and it is not yet 8 p.m., go to Salas Minor Emergency Center on NE Loop 286 and stop reading. It is the only clinic in Paris built for this.
If it is Friday afternoon, Salas is still your best bet, because Hometown Clinic and Family Medical Clinic both close at noon. If it is Saturday morning and the patient is a child, call the Pediatric Clinic of Paris at 7 a.m., an hour before the doors open, and ask for the 9 to 11 window.
If it is the middle of the night, pick your emergency room on insurance, not on distance. And if the symptoms are chest pain, one-sided weakness, slurred speech or a bad fall, call 911 and let them take you to the hospital on Deshong Drive, which is the only Level III trauma facility in the county.
